The Roof Replacement Project
Being the original metal roof, it was well and truly beyond its use-by date. Our Melbourne roofers found it to have a number of areas of unsuccessful repairs and patch up works, especially around the box gutters. Ross wanted a roof replacement that he could feel satisfied with the knowledge that this will stand the test of time. First and foremost, we provided our scope of works whilst ensuring safety was a top priority. We installed safety rail to the perimeter of the building, and coordinated the crane up of all materials.
Whilst working on this commercial roof replacement, we cordon off the area directly below. This therefore allows the majority of the working space below to go about their daily operations. Our team onsite each day, liaise and coordinate this with the ETP’s staff. Thus ensuring a smooth operation for all involved!
Our team of Melbourne roofing contractors began works in each area, by removing all existing metal materials. We made sure to install all new safety mesh, as well as 60mm roof insulation blanket to some areas. Next, we install the new metal roof. We installed Speed Deck Ultra roof sheeting, in Zincalume and a heavier grade material. The heavier grade allows foot traffic on the roof, without causing significant damage to the new roof.
We installed all relevant flashings and box guttering. In this case the deck profile was perfect to carry the load of the solar panels and the new roof walkways, installed by Safelock. Once the roof replacement complete, we crane down all materials and conduct a final inspection.
