The Project:
ACR Roofing recently completed a metal deck roof replacement for an office building in Springvale. The existing metal deck roof -including the flashings and guttering- was corroded and needed to be removed and entirely replaced. To prevent water ponding, we also needed to increase the pitch of the roof using battens. To blend in with the surrounding factories, the owners of the property chose to use cost-effective and practical BlueScope Zincalume Corrugated roof sheeting.
Safety Measures:
The safety of our roofers is very important to us at ACR Roofing, so we always ensure we make our sites as safe as possible. This building for example, had a fall of more than two meters. This means that before we could commence work, we supplied and installed perimeter safety rails around the property roof. This Melbourne roof replacement project also required us to engage with Associated Mobile Cranes to be able to crane up the roof sheeting onto the roof. We completed a detailed Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS) for this project, and worked with our client to ensure all of our workers had completed a safety induction specific to the site.
The Result:
This was a very straightforward job for our crack team of Melbourne roofers. And I’m sure you’ll agree that the end result was impressive. The pitted, rusty deck roof has been replaced by a clean, shiny new Zincalume roof.
