CSR Limited is a repeat client of ACR Roofing. Most recently, we completed an Asbestos Wall Cladding Replacement at their Yarraville site. Having been at this site many times before, CSR know and trust our Melbourne roofers to complete our work with the highest quality and safety standard expected by CSR.
In fact, it was only January this year we were onsite completing an asbestos roof replacement on a different building! Safety is just as important to CSR as it is to ACR Roofing. Therefore before visiting site, our roofing team complete an individual induction. Being such a large site, it is imperative we are aware of all CSR systems.
This particular asbestos removal project involved an asbestos wall cladding replacement, to the CSR Plaster Mill building. Due to the height and restricted location of the wall, we required scaffold to be installed, as well as the use of a scissor lift. Once the scaffold had been erected, we were able to commence our asbestos roofing works.
Asbestos Wall Cladding Replacement
After the asbestos removal, we receive a visual clearance certificate as well as an Air Monitoring report. Once results have come back within the Work Safe requirements, we proceed with our works.
To replace the existing asbestos, we install new Colorbond TrimClad Wall Cladding material, in the colour ‘Surfmist’. Surfmist® embodies qualities of freshness, purity timelessness and in-dependency. Snow, the mist from the sea and surf, pure white sand, and the billowing sails of yachts all remind us of this colour.
In addition, we remove the existing Polycarbonate sheeting and installed new Ampelite Wonderglas Gel coated translucent wall sheeting. To complete our asbestos roof works, we install Colorbond wall trims, flashings and cappings, also in the colour ‘Surfmist’. Once the scaffold has been dismantled, an ACR Roofing director visits site for a final inspection before handing over the completed roofing project to our CSR contact.
