For the past 6 years, our team have completed the asbestos removal to different sections of roofing at the Solenis site in Springvale. Solenis, formerly Ashland Water Technologies, is an American manufacturer of specialty chemicals for the pulp, paper, oil and gas, chemical processing, mining, biorefining, power and municipal markets.
Generally, Christmas shutdown is the only time in the year that the Solenis facilities close down for consecutive days. We are only able to complete the asbestos roofing removal with the building below vacant. Therefore, this is the perfect opportunity for our Melbourne roofers to carry out the asbestos roof removal. Consequently, this also means we have a deadline to complete our work! However, with skillful project management and expert roofing, we meet the deadline easily each year.
This year, we have extra time onsite to complete the asbestos roof replacement project, as we are replacing both roofing and wall cladding to the Process Building. It was our largest scope of works to have the entire roof replacement project complete before the workers return. As always, we met our deadline.
We removed all areas of asbestos roof and wall cladding and installed Colorbond ‘Surfmist’ materials in its place. Additionally, Ampelite Webglass Translucent sheeting was installed on the roof. We also installed Colorbond flashings, guttering, and these huge 950mm Ventilators.
It has been a terrific achievement over a 6 year period, something for the ACR Roofing contractors to acknowledge and be proud of.
We have enjoyed our ongoing asbestos roof replacement works at Solenis, and thank them for choosing ACR Roofing yet again for their roofing works,
A special thanks to our team of Melbourne roofers at ACR Roofing. Not only do they constantly show dedication and hard work all day and every day, but specifically in times like these – when there is an opportunity for a mini break with family; they help to have these Melbourne roof replacement works complete.
