The original metal roof was in very poor condition; severe corrosion covered the entire roof, flashings deteriorating and the box gutters were holding water, thus causing leaks for the tenants. ACR’s roofers knew the only option was for a full roof replacement.
A metal roof removal was completed, and brand new BlueScope Plain Zincalume Speed Deck Ultra roof sheets were installed in a heavier grade material (48mm), this allows for other trades to walk on the roof in the future without causing any damage. Colorbond cappings were also installed to the perimeter of the building, adding a modern and fresh look to the apartment block.
