Right next door to The Como, Toorak Road, South Yarra nestled tightly amongst the large trees, lies an original 1950’s apartment block. This apartment block has been known for its constant roof leaks, unrepairable due to the severe corrosion, water ponding and lack of depth in the box gutters.
With the direction from an architect and the assistance from a carpenter, we were engaged to remove the entire kliplok roof, raise the entire roof frame over 200mm which created the additional depth in the surrounding box gutters.
Wow, what a transformation this roof has turned out; with the inclusion of overflows, heavy grade BlueScope Plain Zincalume roofing material, surrounded with a BlueScope Colorbond speed deck mansard, finished off with Colorbond cappings and trims, this commercial roof replacement needs to be seen to believe.
