Most recently, our Melbourne roofers completed a commercial 3,500m2 asbestos roof and wall cladding replacement. Located in Dandenong, the old super 6 asbestos roof sheeting was in desperate need of replacing! In addition, the metal wall cladding was past its use-by date. The vision for this asbestos removal project looked fantastic, and our team have the expertise to make it a reality.
Commercial Asbestos Roof Replacement
Our works begin like many others: installing safety rail to the perimeter of the building and craning up materials. We remove an area of the asbestos roofing each day, and receive a clearance certificate from a hygienist. Next, we remove and replace the existing safety mesh and install new heavy duty sarking foil.
For this project the client chose Colorbond steel for the material and it sure does make a difference! Our client chose the colour ‘Monument‘. “Monument® is unashamedly a city colour. Therefore, it will emphasise the modernity of today’s architecture. It is a strong, confident, neutral colour adding depth and strength to the colour palette.”
The asbestos to Colorbond transformation looks incredible, and the factory now looks brand new. Further to the Colorbond roofing, we install Ampelite Wonderglas Translucent sheeting in evenly spaced bays. In addition, our team removed and replaced the wall cladding.
Similarly, installing Colorbond ‘Monument’ Wall cladding. Furthermore, we removed the existing windows and installed new Ampelite Wonderglas Translucent sheeting in its place.
This was a large Melbourne roofing project, and one we’re very proud of. Not only are we extremely happy with the result, but so is our client! The transformation looks great and most noteworthy, the new roof will protect our client for years to come.
